The Georgetown Township Fire Protection District in Floyd County Indiana is seeking to establish a six-month hiring list
to fill openings that may occur over that time period.
Starting Firefighter salary $50,017.62, subject to yearly percentage-based salary increases.

Age: Applicant must be 18 (Eighteen) Years of age or older upon hire date
Education: Highschool Diploma or GED equivalent
Preferred certifications: (Firefighter) Firefighter (IFSAC or equivalent), Indiana Certified Emergency Medical Responder
(Required Enrollment of EMT basic Course Upon Course Availability), Hazardous Material Awareness and Operations,
(NIMS 100,200,700,800 Must be completed within 3 Months after date of hire) Must Have Continuing Education records
within the last 12 Months of date of application.
Possession of a valid driver’s License (Shall have no DUI or Reckless driving convictions within the last 3 years).
A valid Email address to be utilized throughout the hiring process, Reliable transportation for commuting to and from
Obtain a valid CPAT (Candidate Physical Ability Test) at date of hire.
Must be able to climb a one-hundred-five-foot aerial apparatus without hesitation.
A passing grade of sixty percent on a written examination.
Participate in an oral interview.
Background checking consisting of no felony convictions that have not been expunged by a court.
Residence: Must be a U.S Citizen and legally able to work in the US
