The mission of the Georgetown Township Fire Protection District is to provide quality fire, rescue, and emergency services to the residents of Georgetown Township.

December 2014 Training Update

The training division has been hard at work in December keeping our staff busy with a multitude of different trainings this month. We have sent members to the Hazmat IQ class to better understand Hazardous Material Emergencies. We have focused our crew training’s on swift water rescue, hose advancement, fire attack, drivers training, street familiarization, extrication, and documentation just to name a few.

Moreover, we have completed our initial aerial operations training for GTFD’s new 105 foot Quint (Ladder 2). We have began teaching the staff about the features of the truck along with beginning drivers training. Our trainings have been built around strengthening our basic fundamentals and gaining knowledge in more complicated area using the new ladder truck.
