The Indiana Homeland Security Foundation awarded Georgetown Fire District $4,000 for a self-contained breathing apparatus dual fill station. This modern dual fill station with updated safety features replaces our outdated single fill station purchased in 1989. The older unit did not have separate fill and supply pressure gauges.
Moreover, The new device can return self contained breathing apparatus bottles to service in half the time of the old unit by filling two at a time. This system also is capable of filling mobile cascade systems.
The cost of this new unit is $6,600 and the grant covers $4,000 or roughly 60% of cost.
