Great leadership is essential for growth, and the future is bright under our current leadership. Let’s meet the leadership of the Georgetown Township Fire Protection District family. The Chief of GTFD is William Banta, a retired Battalion Chief with the Louisville Fire Department. Chief Banta entered the fire service in 1981 as a cadet. He has two degrees graduating Cuma Sum Laude with his degree in Fire Science and has experience as both a volunteer, career firefighter, and paramedic.
Deputy Chief Ned Wiseman is a retired Captain with the Louisville Fire Department. DC Wiseman entered the fire service in 1994. DC Wiseman was also the Chief of Ramsey Volunteer Department from 2005 to 2016. He also received the Medal of Valor while at the Louisville Fire Department.
These two men bring a wealth of experience in both volunteer and career service to a combination department like the Georgetown Township Fire Protection District. This leadership has a passion for not only offering the best service to our community but offering the best service and superior training to our staff as well.
If you want a future under proactive leadership, that believes in education, supports staff, and offers the best work environment possible then the GTFD is the place for you. Apply today to a department that has a bright future.
