The mission of the Georgetown Township Fire Protection District is to provide quality fire, rescue, and emergency services to the residents of Georgetown Township.

November 2014 Training Update

The training division has been hard at work in October and November keeping our staff busy with a multitude of different trainings this month. We have completed our annual Minimum Standards, the annual agility test, using an ATV for search and rescue, hose advancement, fire attack, drivers training, street familiarization, extrication, and documentation just to name a few.

Moreover, we have completed our Ebola Preparedness training. We taught the staff about the signs and symptoms, effects on the body, and transmission modes. We also practiced donning and doffing of proper PPE and disposal. Our trainings have been built around strengthening our basic fundamentals and gaining knowledge in more complicated area.
