The mission of the Georgetown Township Fire Protection District is to provide quality fire, rescue, and emergency services to the residents of Georgetown Township.

November/ December 2017 Training Update

The training division continues to strive to improve our staffs knowledge by keeping our staff busy with a multitude of different trainings. In the months of November and December GTFD staff have participated in  Water on the Fire class, Car Seat Certification, Extrication, and Thermal Imaging. We continue to train and improve on pumping operations, ventilation, nozzle work, building construction, drivers training, engine company operations, and street familiarization just to name a few.

Moreover, we have completed a mutual aid live fire training with Greenville Township Volunteer Fire Department and the Lafayette Township Fire Protection District.  This training focused on all the basic education required of a firefighter for live fire incidents and allowed us to work together to assist us in working together more seamlessly on large scenes.
